If you hear a high-pitched Little Miss Sunshine-level shrieking on the wind, I'll try to stop. Lego's BTS set has been unveiled. No guarantees, though.
All seven of the K-pop powerhouse's members are seen chilling out on the set of their big song's music video in the 749-piece "Dynamite" set, which broke YouTube's 24-hour record in 2020 with over 100 million views in a single day. Also, it surpassed the previous record for the most comments ever on a YouTube video.
The kit, which was created by two 20-year-old fans, includes really adorable Lego replicas of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook wearing their on-screen attire. I can't stop staring at V's adorable waistcoat ensemble. These are positioned among small, assemble-able sets of the pastel-hued, '70s-era settings, including the iconic disco with its enormous DISCO sign, the retro burger and doughnut shop, the ice cream truck, the record store, the basketball court, and the record store. Moreover, there is a tiny BTS stage.
You can send Jungkook to raise that doughnut toast, put a turquoise-haired RM in the record store surrounded by miniature Lego "Dynamite" vinyls, or let V dance next to the ice cream truck.
Just a few days prior, Lego hinted a BTS release on Twitter. The label BigHit or the management company HYBE did not release the BTS set as merchandise. It's a component of Lego's Ideas site, where users may submit their own set designs and others can vote to produce them. Two buddies, Josh, 20, a designer from Indiana, and Jacob, 21, a BTS fan from New York, created the "Dynamite" set. Lego approved their concept after it received 10,000 views on the Ideas website.
Jacob remarked in a statement included in Lego's news release, "Josh conducted the building and design work and, as a major BTS fan, I informed him what needed to be in it, what features were most important."
Josh stated in a statement, "Jacob had the BTS expertise, and he was able to steer my build in the appropriate way. I repeatedly saw the music video while attempting to convey its spirit using Legos.
Beginning in early March 2023, you'll be able to purchase the BTS "Dynamite" Lego set for US$99.99 (£89.99 / €99.99) online and in Lego stores.
Because the song is probably already stuck in your mind, here is the video.
